Comprehensive Hazard Communication Program

Quick review:
TSP retains the services of an independent safety consultant to ensure strict compliance with all safety codes and regulations. It is the policy of our organization to strive for the highest safety standards for all projects on which we are directly involved. We recognize the importance of safety at all levels of our trade, and all of our employees are provided with an Employee Safety Handbook that delineates both our commitment as the employer as well as team responsibilities. This book also includes, but not limited to, our smoking policy, eating policy, respiratory program, scaffolding program, assured grounding program, sexual harassment policy statement and drug & alcohol policy statement. All employees of TSP are provided with an orientation process which includes, but necessarily limited to, the following:

  1. General Hazcom Training
  2. Fall Protection Training
  3. General Safety Procedures of this Company

The following include, but not specifically limited to, other safety training options provided to TSP foremen:

  • Orientation to the "Bloodborne Pathogens" Standard
  • Traffic and vehicle operation.
  • Work permits
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Fire protection equipment
  • Medical treatment / first aid / CPR
  • Reporting accidents and / or injuries
  • Handling and using compressed gas cylinders
  • Trenching, Shoring and Excavating
  • Lockout / tag out procedures
  • Tool box safety meetings (as required on specific projects)

This safety program adopted by Tri-State is a very aggressive step toward arresting the potential job site hazards that can otherwise be avoided. We at Tri-State are committed to our safety program to ensure that each and every person in this organization is equally dedicated to a safe and healthy working environment.
